Mosinyi recreates her world through art

Female folk artist Tebogo Mosinyi will never relent before her dreams come to fruition.

So forget that arts are not the best paying of industries in Botswana because Mosinyi is all set to bulldoze her way to the top with her God-given talent.  Talk about discovering and following through your dream, then you are relating the story of Mosinyi.  She started crafts just eight years ago, but before that, Mosinyi was in love with painting.  As a small child, she recalls, while her peers were playing with mud, she gravitated towards fine art.

The 38-year-old now does folk art, beauty items to decorate the house and puppets as she likes working with children. "I grew up with my granny - I would create things with sticks when other kids were playing," says a passionate Mosinyi.  But later she was to discover that the type of art she started off with required much money for buying oils and paints.
