Multimedia theatre producer Moratiwa Molema on Friday treated art lovers at Thapong Visual Arts Centre to a rare theatrical delight fusing modernity and traditional dance in a fashion probably never seen before.

The audience could only applaud at the end of the 30-minute presentation, as they appreciated the sophistication and beauty of the multi-dimensional theatrical presentation that was presented in a form of a dream.First the presentation took everyone by surprise; for when their eyes were still glued onto the stage where Bingo, a Zambian poet, was busy reciting her poetry soon after a band had also given a piece or two.  The audience was still waiting for some action to unfold, when some soothing jazzy tunes, with sounds of birds, started playing softly from the sound system.

But there was no action on stage. A few minutes passed and stomping feet and sounds of bangles (matlhoa) were then heard from the other side and everyone started jumping off their seats to catch what is happening. There was a multi-dimensional theatrical presentation unfolding under a dimly-lit theatre - a cultural dance on one side, a ballet dance on the other side - and a mixed-race young woman lying on a typical Tswana bed.
