Mingo tries different sounds on return

In 2009 a young, rough stud named Mingo broke into the music scene with a bang. His debut track track, Tshaba Tsotsi became an instant hit just a few weeks after its release.

Party animals around the country had more reason to party a storm every weekend. His tunes could be heard blaring out of Gusheshes (BMW) and Zolabuds(Toyota Hiace) windows from a distance, and the young man quickly turned into a household name. That his style and voice were identical to that of Kwaito icon Vee(Odirile Sento) seemed to affirm him as the next biggest thing in the local music scene.

His self-titled follow up a year later failed to meet expectations, then the promising kwaito prospect faded into oblivion and he was quickly labelled a one-hit-wonder.His disappearance from the scene seemed to prove his critics right. But now, the likable fellow is back on his feet again and is ready to conquer again.
