Maun beauties disappoint Tops

MAUN: Auditions for the coveted and most admired beauty pageant in the country, Miss Botswana got off to a poor start at the resort township of Maun last Saturday with signs of girls having lost faith in the prestigious pageant.

This is despite that entertainment mogul and one of their own Tops Masole is managing the pageant this year. The much-awaited Miss Botswana beauty contest is poised at seeing poor participations at the auditions if what transpired during the scouting process in Maun is anything to go by.

Auditions for this year's Miss Botswana attracted a paltry seven contestants despite the fact that last year's census results suggested that the resort township is among the highly populated areas in the country. Although Maun dropped from second position as the village with a high population density, it remained among the top three highly populated villages in the country behind Molepolole and Mogoditshane respectively.
