Matsieng's new album yet to be released

Almost two months since Matsieng Cultural band frontmen, Ditiro Leero and Daniel Tsankane spoke in glowing terms about the soon-to-be released album, the masterpiece is still to hit the shelves.

When contacted yesterday, Leero refused to entertain any enquiries from Showbiz and referred further questions on the issue to Roy Kgabuki, another Matsieng singer.  Only in February this year, Leero, aka DT spoke in glowing terms about the project in an interview with Showbiz, saying how he was happy to be back with the Matsieng band, which he had left in the aftermath of their 2007 smash hit, Tinto, to pursue a solo music career.  DT was excited to narrate how he is the lead vocalist in seven of the 10 songs in the new album, which is yet to be titled.

However, Kgabuki told Showbiz that they have postponed the project indefinitely.  He says first it was scheduled for release around October, then December last year, but had to postpone its release due to the hype created by productions like Ekentolo's Matebele.
