Matsetse billed to perform at Praise Explosion

FRANCISTOWN: Fervent gospel musician Mathews Matsetse will on Saturday evening arrive in Francistown for the annual Praise Explosion 2013 at Chedu Choga hall.

This will be the first time the musician will perform with his entire band in Francistown.  The seasoned gospel artist will be headlining a show where upcoming musicians like Minister Mazwiho Nfila of Pure Waves band and Kgomotso Magunga are expected to set the stage on praising fire.Nfila has one album under his belt titled Time To Worship.  It was recorded live in South Africa and a second album is expected soon.  His desire is to reach the level at which the likes of Benjamin Dube have reached.

Matsetse, who will be celebrating his 39th birthday in a month's time, has been on a regional whirlwind.  His performances locally were limited to crusades and churches - a development that resulted in some thinking that Matsetse's career was hitting a nosedive. But Matsetse said his music career has been growing. He said he has been performing in countries within the region and beyond. And just last month, he performed in Potchefstroom, South Africa.
