They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and this became evident on Friday as Alliance Francaise held an exhibition of a unique and talented fine art leatherworks artist Onkabetse Manenye under the theme, Trails of the San.

Even though the event was not highly attended, the few who turned up were impressed with 30-year old Manenye's unique designs. He told Showtime that he took five weeks to finish his designs which he made after he got inspiration from his uncle.

"I started art in my high school days and in 1998 I was awarded the prize for best student in art practicals at Bokamoso CJSS," he proudly said.Manenye's first exhibition was at the age of 16 at the National Museum, which many appreciated. He was also a volunteer for two years in a graffiti project in Brighton, United Kingdom (UK), specialising in painting murals with an airbrush.
