Man of God Lekoetje joins the Kwaito bandwagon

South African producer Reuben Lekoetje, who did Vusi's latest gospel album, has shifted his attention to other genres coming up with a kwaito album for another local musician Zoun 2 (Kabelo Modise).

Their album called Reversa Jive is still to convince listeners that it deserves that space on their CD shelves, but it has the potential to go places if they work hard to market because it combines both the old school kwaito beats popularly known as S'gubu and the local invention dominated by kwasa-kwasa beats and piercing lead guitar.

Modise, who hails from Kanye, could remind you of those days when South Africa's Mandoza was the real Inkalankatha (boss) with that rough yet inviting voice. Combining both Zulu and Tswana lyrics with a little bit of township lingo spicing it up, the title track is fun-filled with the musicians proclaiming that he is the most stylish of them all.
