Mainline churches to host music concert

The Gaborone Mainline church choirs under the auspices of the Botswana Council of Churches (BCC) will host the annual choirs festival in Gaborone next weekend.

The event, to be held at Botlhale English Medium Primary School, will be held under the theme: A masedi a tuke - meaning 'let the light shine'. The event spokesperson Christopher Kikoyo said through raising funds for the under privileged they are shining light into their lives.   Eight choirs from five churches are expected to participate in the festival. They are the United Congressional Council of Southern Africa (UCCSA), Methodist, Dutch Reformed, Evangelical Lutheran in Botswana and the Roman Catholic Church.

The concert is aimed mainly to raise funds for charity, to preach gospel through music, to promote love of different denominations, as well as Christian relationship.
