Celebrated local producer Kenny Mackenzo has announced on facebook the long awaited new release for kwaito-house star Mapetla. Mackenzo, known for producing Mapetla's 2007 scortcher, Phanz Phezulu, says today they are revealing Mapetla's new album cover, while the actual album will be released on Friday, October 7.

Recently Mackenzo combined forces with Wizards of the Desert for the production of house album, Dr Mokento.  About the new Mapetla album, Mackenzo  describes it as one of the best urban albums to come out of this country.

Since their 2007 smash hit however Mackenzo and Mapetla are failing to hit the high notes with two subsequent albums, Sibuyile and Grootman, both falling short of  matching the standard they set for themselves.  It remains to be seen how Mapetla's album will fare in the midst of new urban flavours from South Africa and lately West Africa.
