Local musos shine at GSS

Eighteen local upcoming musos took to stage on Saturday at Gaborone Secondary School (GSS) grounds as they closed this year's Maitisong Festival, which began on the 9th of this month in style.

Speaking to one of the organisers of the show, Gao Lemmenyane told Showtime that they decided to have a music show outdoor as a way of catering for those people who cannot afford fee-paying shows.  "At Maitisong we believe in entertaining our fans and we understand that we have got different people of different classes in our country, some are less fortunate and cannot afford shows that charge prices so we wanted to also show that we care for them," he said.

He also pointed out that so far they have held over 50 shows since the beginning of this festival and that this outdoor show is the second one after another similar one that took place on the 13th.
