Lion skin, diamond dust, among art exhibitions at Thapong

A hand made mat made from 100 perecnt lion skin, and two giant wooden Botswana maps with 100 percent diamond dust are some of the tens of eye-catching artworks that went on display at Thapong exhibition on Friday night.

Eleven artists including two women are participating in the display that immediately raised P20, 000 on the opening night after six pieces were snapped up.

Fulten Akanyang decided to showcase a  huge traditional  hand made lion skin mat which still retains all the  lion's features, the tail, the legs,  and the upper head with the skull removed. The piece is ideal for those with penchant for  rare collections.
