The annual event that attracts the continent's revered performers will be held in the Zimbabwean capital from April 20 to May 5. The event encompasses acts from music, dance, craft and applied arts, theatre, visual arts and spoken-word genres in a comprehensive festival programme that also includes workshops for professional artists.
On average, the six-day arts showcase attracts 1,000 Zimbabwean performers and hosts 200 visiting artists.Liefy, who is based in Johannesburg, is elated about the invite, as it will help open doors for her globally."I'll be doing the Harare International Festival of Arts in Harare in April. It's really big. I am going to meet big Zimbabwean and other African artists," she told Showbiz.
