Kwaito starlet to drop second album

Kwaito dynamite, Thabang Oanthata, popularly known as Stompie, is due to drop his second album three years after he burst onto the scene with his debut titled Spit Fire.

According to the young musician's mother, Jenny Oanthata who also acts as his manager, the delay in releasing a follow up album was due to the fact that the first one was still doing well in the market.

"We felt there was no need to disturb the sales of the old album, it was still in demand and bringing something new into the market could only work against us. You need to be really strategic in this business and beat the temptations of rushing to studio," she said. She mentioned that Spit Fire DVD was also doing well on the market and that there was no urge to do a second album since they were making good money from the sales.
