Johwa relishing Tuku twosome

Ikalanga Jazz maestro Ndingo Johwa is relishing a twosome with legendary Zimbabwean musician Oliver 'Tuku' Mtukudzi at the Mascom Live Sessions at the Botswanacraft arena in Gaborone this Friday.

The celebrated musician has promised local music lovers nothing less than a stellar perfromance when two southern African jazz legends take to the stage on the night of the show. Oliver or 'Tuku' to his legion of fans, arrives in the country on Thursday to perform in a show that seeks to promote Abi'angu, the 59-year-old's 60th album, and his previous album, Rudaviro.

Abi'angu (Duets of My Time) was released in June and features South African legends Judith Sephuma and Ringo Madlingozi, and Cesaria Evora of Cape Verde. Abi'angu is a bumper collection with a good 15 tracks.
