Gospel singer Dube seeks second divorce

Stylish charismatic gospel music sensation Benjamin Dube, who is adored by Pentecostal crowds in Gaborone where he performs to sold out shows, is on the road to divorcing for the second time, citing abuse from his wife, Thabile.

Dube last performed here in 2009 at the Blue Tree where he attracted a huge crowd. The show organiser then, Thatayaone Matlapeng told Showbiz they paid R65, 000 for the super star and R30, 000 for another star, Sechaba, who shared the stage with Dube.

According to South African publication, Sunday World, Dube alleges that he lost audio in one ear after his wife stabbed him in the ear with a car key during one of their violent encounters. The vocalist alleges that his wife beat him up on three separate occasions last year alone.
