German band to share music skills with Batswana

Celtic Fusion, a German musical group, is staging shows in Gaborone.

The band plays various styles ranging from rock, folk, jazz, classical, traditional and world music with best new dance sounds performed by Peter Herrmann, Norbert Volker and Don O'Connor.  According to the organisers, during O'Connor's stay in the country, he will have a musical workshop together with the students at Motse wa Badiri , Camphill Community in Otse on Wednesday.  The band's  first show was at Boulevard in Phakalane on Saturday followed by another performance at the Millennium Jazz Restaurant the following day.  Other venues where they are expected to perform include Alliance Franaise on Friday and at the Botswanacraft on March 19. 

During the Botswanacraft show, the German group is going to share the stage with local artist Kabo Leburu and renowned Molepolole folk singer Stampore.  Leburu and Celtic Fusion will each play their own sets and later collaborate on stage.
