Exploited beauty queen, the 2010 Miss Universe Botswana winner Tirelo Ramasedi on Saturday hosted an empowerment forum for beauty queens in an effort to motivate aspiring beauty queens.

Attended by various pageant organisers, beauty queens and models, the forum was funded by the Botswana National Youth Council (BNYC) after Ramasedi made a proposal to that effect.

Ramasedi, who represented the country at the Miss Universe finals, recently revealed that the organisers of the local pageant have failed to pay her the first prize money that accompanied the title last year.  Ramasedi was not even available to crown the new Miss Universe Botswana a few weeks ago, as her revelations - coming a few hours before the Miss Universe Botswana 2011 finals - embarrassed the organisers.  On Saturday Ramasedi hosted a number of past and present beauty queens, and pageant organisers at the event called, Mmabontle Forum, where Mpule Kwelagobe, Miss Universe 1999, was the guest of honour.
