Evergreen 'Tuku' has revellers dancing all night long

One may have expected Zimbabwean jazz maestro Oliver Mtukudzi to be hard-pressed to please his multitude of fans who descended on the Botswanacraft arena last Friday.

After all, how does one choose which hits to perform for a two-hour session from over 40 albums from a career spanning more than two decades?  However, the legendary performer, affectionately known across Africa and beyond as Tuku, lived up to his reputation as a consummate performer, skillful guitarist and one of the most recognisable voices to come out of the continent.

Dressed in all-white with a black skullcap atop his head, Tuku and his Black Spirits band left fans with no chance to rest as they belted out hit-after-hit, keeping fans swarming the dance-area and screaming at the top of their voices for their entire session.
