FRANCISTOWN: He may have been eliminated last Friday to pave way for the top five in My Star competition, but Boikanyo stole the show from the five contestants who were battling for votes at Adansonia Hotel on Saturday.

The Ghetto revellers were treated to a catchy stage performance by the young lad, and he had them eating out of his hand, that they could not help throwing wads of Pula notes on the stage. After the performance, Showbiz established that the P10 and P20 notes that rained on the stage amounted to P520.

Boikanyo apparently hitched a ride with the Top 5 contestants to Francistown, where they performed before a huge audience. His act was to bid farewell to his supportive fans. "I am not here to compete," he said later. Boikanyo's awesome stage performance, with his velvety sexy voice, started with the song Someday by Michael Learns to Rock and by the time he left the stage, he had convinced the audience that he should have been left in the Top five, and Ayanda voted off.
