DT delays live DVD

Local reggae ace Dithuso Selepeng's fans will have to wait a little longer for the release of his Live DVD as he wants to beef it up and promote it heartily before its release later in the year.

DT, as he is affectionately known, shot Botswana's fist Live DVD at the end of March in Gaborone and the DVD was expected to be out soon.  However, the hardline muso is keen to give his fans a well-polished product and has revealed he is not in a rush to release it.  "The audios have been done and they are impressive.  Now we're working on the visuals, then we will take it for proper editing thereafter. It's important that I take my time and ensure that I produce a first-rate product rather than rushing things and coming up with a sub-standard product," said DT.  He added that the DVD would certainly be out before the end of the year. The reggae maestro proved beyond reasonable doubt that he has come of age when he shot the live DVD in style.

He reiterated that the DVD is dedicated to his fans who have stood by him over the years, hence the need to perfect it.  "Clearly, the DVD was captured in quality.  Give Me Roses and Redemption Song are quite clean and from the unedited version I realised that the crowd responded well.  It makes me love the challenge that live music presents - I pleasure in having to craft my art," he said.
