Dladleng album hits music stores

SELEBI-PHIKWE: One of the upcoming house-kwasa artists based in Selebi-Phikwe, Ogomoditse Mokenti, well-known by her stage name, Sygosh, has released a six-track album entitled Dladleng.

Mokenti told Showbiz that the album was recorded in February last year, but due to financial challenges she failed to put it on the market. She also mentioned that she expects the album to cause a stir in the music world because it contains some elements that have never been heard before.  Mokenti explained that she ventured into the house-kwasa genre because it appeals to many people and its market is still viable. 

"My album was produced by Alfred Kavezedi and recorded at Hall of Fame Studio.  Mixing and mastering was also done by Kavezedi.  I have also started shooting the DVD for the album and my fans will start seeing it soon," she said.  Mokenti said songs that are contained in the album are O Ngwanake, HIV/AIDS, Tshwene, Dladleng, Rre Khama and Goroga.  She explained that O Ngwanake song is about children who are abandoned by their fathers.
