United States (US)-based DJ and studio boss, Goodwill 'DJ Dagizus' Daniel, who recently visited Botswana, says his sojourn was a huge success.

Speaking to Showbiz yesterday, DJ Dagizus said his Dagee Records signed a number of artists while in the country.  "During my visit, I signed more than six artists mostly from Gaborone and Francistown.  Some I auditioned while others I met through referrals.  Some of the acts I signed include Lindiwe, King Zee, The General, CSR and Molly Molz," he said.

DJ Dagizus further said that while in the country, he set up a team comprising Nathaniel Otukile (Botswana general manager), Caleb Rakodi (Francistown manager), Oarabile Serurubele (promotions), Carmen Bestman (producer) and Ishmael Monyatsi (public relations).  "This is the team that helps promote both local talent and the label and they are doing a good job so far. They are currently moving around Botswana signing new contracts with talented individuals we discovered so that we can seal the deal and start work. The reason we do contracts is to assure artists we are not fly-by-night and that it is wise to work with Dagee Records," he said adding that he has establish a small studio in Francistown to cater for artists in Botswana's second city.
