Distimo boost for Motswako rookie

Motswako rookie Raymond Kaelo Toitoi launches his album on Saturday buoyed by top ratings for his two songs on Distimo.

Distimo  provides insight in the mobile app store market by delivering app store market data to developers, carriers and device manufacturer. It releases free publications with the most recent findings on the app market on a monthly basis and tracks the progress of important data across all major app stores and app networks. Toitoi's two songs 'Segoa Gowe' and 'Nnana Wame' made the top 400 on the most downloaded tracks in the Egypt and South Africa Nokia OVI stores. The song Segoa Gowe sits on number 60 after dropping from 48 earlier this week.

The man nicknamed Legare said the development is quite heartening especially considering it comes at a time when he is about to launch his debut album:"I feel overwhelmed, it was really a surprise. I never thought the songs would be that huge. It's encouraging to see my music doing well in other countries," Toitoi said. The 17-track album titled Platinum Blade will be available online on Friday and will be launched in Lobatse on Saturday.
