Local Hip Hop artist, Neo 'Shanay' Maruatona's new cross-genre collaborative venture has panned out well, with two videos already out.

Shanay has worked with several local musicians across different genres for the Autograph mixtapes which has tracks like Ke Dirile Madi and Strawberry Milkshake. The 10-track project is crusted with extremely wide-ranging tastes and Shanay believes it marks a new phase in his music career. The two tracks Ke Dirile Madi and Strawberry Milkshake already have videos.

Although strongly marked by the Hip Hop element that characterises Shanay's music, the presence of R'n'B rookies - Brian Lorenzo and G-Swag - has given it an element of diversity. Shanay has included the likes of Zeus, Juju Boy and Spizza in the project, thus combining Hip Hop and R'n'B elements, with varying degrees of success."It's a collaborative effort and the idea is to expand my scope as a musician.  I've been solo for a while and I decided to try to collaborate, exchange ideas and get to know people in the industry.  It has really helped me positively," Shanay told Showbiz. The 2004 My African Dream finalist is convinced the diversity is a sign of growth. He added that local artists' willingness to work together shows maturity.
