Botswana culture display night

People from diverse cultures and countries all over the world gathered on Friday at Botswanacraft to sample Botswana culture as Botswana hosted this year's Junior Chambers International African and Middle East conference.

Ghana, South Africa, India, Brazil, Lesotho, Zambia, Nigeria, Syria, China, England and other countries came all under one roof to witness Botswana's culture at its best.  The hosts of the event's members (Batswana) were dressed to kill in their traditional clothing that received a lot of stare and admiration from visiting nationals.

The women were dressed in their homemade dresses while the men also made their mark with modern traditional clothing mostly seen at weddings and special traditional occasions. The ambience indeed represented Botswana.  Placed as centrepieces on top of the table were famous wild fruits and nicely grilled ground nuts that many couldn't stop eating.  As if that was not enough, the different Setswana meals were a hit as the food included chicken feet, Phaleche, fat cakes, different types of meat.
