BK Proctor produces second solo album

Award-winning music producer cum musician Bokang 'BK' Proctor has done it again.

The 26-year-old lad is set to release his second solo album titled Music Man, which is expected to take the industry by storm.  His debut solo album that won him the 2009 Botswana Musicians Union (BOMU) Best music producer award was titled BK Proctor The Album.  Music Man is, however, set for release immediately after an 'Album Release Party' scheduled for Friday at the Bull and Bush.  The release party would feature artists that have worked closely with BK Proctor over the years including Juju Boy, Eugene Jackson, THABO, DJs Khenzo, Groove Cartell and Anthem.  BK Proctor's manager Thato Supang told Showbiz early this week that the party is meant to celebrate the albums release.  She said the party is not a launch, but just an occasion for the public to sample the album before it hits the shelves.  The album would also be sold at the venue. "The launch, however, will be held later this year and BK Proctor's fans will get the rare opportunity of seeing him perform live with a band," she said.

Music Man offers a whole new dimension of BK Proctor whose short time in the music industry has seen him grow to become arguably the youngest and most successful producer in the country.  It offers a more mature side of him and unlike his usual kwaito and Hip-hop sound, BK Proctor has decided to experiment with a fusion of the American neo-soul and the local sound.
