Beware of HIV/AIDS, singer warns homosexuals

Music is supposed to be the soul food that whets and feeds your entertainment need, whilst at the same time imparting some useful information to help you go about the way of life positively.

There are a lot of messages, especially in this era of the war against HIV/AIDS and health, socio-politico and economical challenges.  To drive the messages home in a way that will make people pay attention, we need artists such as musicians to package and re-brand it (messages) to give it a broader appeal.

In his album Drops, real name Marothodi Seosenyeng, addresses a subject that continues to take centre-stage in Botswana's discourse: the HIV/AIDS problem. His approach to the subject is slightly different in that he picks on men, advising them to desist from entangling themselves in cohabitation, where they run the risk of spreading the virus. The musician here, riding on the morality card, cautions couples against engaging in illicit relationships, saying they create room for HIV/AIDS infection.
