'War is no longer a game'
Young Winston (1972) is on today only at the Gaborone Film Society at 7 pm at the A/V Centre at Maru a Pula School.

Young Winston is the famous half-biopic by Richard Attenborough of Winston  Leonard Spencer Churchill (who was born on November 30, 1874 and died on January 24, 1965).

It covers parts of his life between the ages of seven and when he gave his first speech to Parliament at 27 (it only alludes to the next 63 years until he died at 90). It is based on what Winston Churchill wrote about his early life; the film has him reading from that text (the voice of Simon Ward). The result is both revealing and stilted, making the movie at times feel like a museum diorama.
