Art meets sport in dance

Ballroom dancing proved that it is not just about beautiful, willowy ladies and tall, dark and handsome gentlemen waltzing their way around the party area; nor is it about flowing gowns and dark tuxedos but that there is much more to it on Saturday at Gaborone Sun hotel.

The event was done by Gaborone City Council as a fundraising promotional activity for the Silver Jubinee, to be held on August 11.

The performers were dancers from the Botswana Dance National Sport Association (BODANSA) who treated guests to outstanding performances proving that not only is dancing an art but also a sport that celebrates human body intelligence as it is based on the expression through the body and how the two bodies react as they communicate.
