Often music is said to be a tool that has the power to bring people together and reveal deeper emotions - this was all evident on this night.The night, which was fun-filled, attracted quite a number of audience members who were not shy to sing their hearts and lungs out in an attempt to win themselves prizes.
Many hopefuls took to stage as they battled out English and French songs, even though the organisers kept emphasising that it is not a competition but rather that the point is to have fun, many of who sang had their eyes on the big prize being the cell phones. The host of the evening Kalvin Kolanyane-Kesupile told Showtime that the Karaoke night is part of the three build up events towards the big event called Fete de la Music, which will take place on June 21.
