2012/2013 Boosta Bash a big flop!

Party goers complained about the venue chosen for the Boosta Bash this year, poor sound quality and even the artists' line up which many said consisted of too many international acts. More complaints focused on the fact that promoters of the show advertised that there would be two stages, when in fact there was only one. Moreover, it was said that people could take their own cooler boxers into the venue for free, when this was not the case at all.As if this was not enough, there were complaints of the sale of fake tickets that prevented many from entering the Boosta Bash.
One of the organisers, Seabelo Modibe, told Showbiz that the event failed because of the forged tickets."The one reason and the most important one is the forged tickets. We lost close to P400, 000 and couldn't pay suppliers or some of the performing artists," he said adding; "These guys stole a lot of money from people and caused so much frustration for the attendees."
While every citizen, including the Head of State, has the right to voice opinions, the tone and context of the President’s comments were regrettably dismissive and risk chilling free expression in our country.
