An exhibition on human rights violations in Zimbabwe started running in Gaborone on Monday under the aegis of the Botswana Civil Society Solidarity Coalition for Zimbabwe (BOCISCOZ) and Ditshwanelo, the Botswana Centre for Human Rights.

The exhibition has been displayed at Livingstone Kolobeng College and Westwood International School.  Distwahnelo says there are plans to extend the exhibition to other schools next year. Approximately 600 students visited the exhibition and engaged in group discussions on Zimbabwe, and Botswana and their role as responsible citizens, the release from the organisation says.

The mobile exhibition is based on the life stories of children who have fled from their homes because of the socio-political and economic turmoil in Zimbabwe.  The children, whose stories form the basis of the exhibition, will be in attendance on December 10 and perform a play about their experiences., according to a release from Ditshwanelo.
Called The Children's Voices, the exhibition will coincide with the International Human Rights Day, and will be held at The Trinity Church Hall, Main Mall, at 6 pm.
Education and Skills Development Minister Pelenomi Venson-Moitoi will officially open the exhibition, says Ditshwanelo.
