Young artists team up to preserve culture

Four upcoming young artists staged an exhilarating exhibition at the National Museum and Art Gallery in Gaborone on Tuesday evening under the theme Forgotten Treasure.

Mothusi Tau, William Nkone, Alfred Ncube, and Thabiso Thekiso displayed their beautiful paintings, of wild animals such as zebras, lions and other species found in Botswana.

Though they are not paintings from the same studio, Tau told Arts & Culture that "we grouped ourselves together to showcase our talents to the public". He said they decided on the theme (Forgotten Treasure) to preserve and promote the vanishing culture. "Our culture is vanishing, hence we decided to revive it for the sake of posterity," said Tau.
