On one hand is a group of musicians who believe that this piece of legislation was meant to kill the industry rather than control alcohol consumption and improve the lives of Batswana.
On the other is the government, which believes that this piece of legislation would go a long way in improving among other things individuals' welfare and boost the economy of this country even though it has remarkably reduced other people's hours of trade thereby slashing their profit margins.But one thing still remains a problem. There seems to be confusion about the Act, whether it was meant to control only liquor trading or was its primary purpose to restrict nightlife in the country?
