Unified Boys Aim To Fly High

They appear in the top five of this year's My African Dream (MAD) finals and they are up for voting this week. But even before they could know their fate in the MAD competition being voted for through Mascom lines, the foursome - known as Unified - have already announced their new career path.

They have started on a journey to be the best in gospel music on the local scene.
They are: Joseph Dipatane, Tino Modurika, Onkesetse Pitsane and L. Mpolaise. They have released an eight-track album, produced by Joe Maseko; the producer who has previously worked on both Culture Spears' hit albums, Mmadikokwana and Kulenyane.

Their music is sweet and smooth with well-arranged vocals.  They did well to borrow from traditional choruses as well as adding own lines on what is otherwise easily recognisable melodies.  They seemed to thrill their audience with the performance of Iyeza Nakuwe, a decade- old Zulu gospel chorus. They have added English lyrics that flow deliciously with the original melody.
