The audience and the judges at the Friday recording of the fifth Btv music show, Botswana pop idols were shocked when massively talented singer, Tshepo Dikomang, was one of the three who garnered the least votes, a situation that made her one of the candidates for elimination.

The audience 's shock was clear as they could be heard complaining when Tshepo's name was announced alongside Selapiso  Mosinyi and the two female singers Ester Mosika and Bame Kopong.  Tshepo has been perhaps the most outstanding talent in the show, and often judges have remarked in past episodes that  she is only competing with herself.

Together with Tsholo, and Nonofo she has been setting standards for everyone with her stage confidence, and impeccable vocals as she performed some sophisticated compositions with ease. The audience at the recording of the show was hoping that after what happened, the bell as the most talented singer would save Tshepo. The presenter of the show, Thabiso Nasha asked the audience whom they thought would be saved by the bell, and they all shouted, "Tshepo! Tshepo!". They were shocked; the judges saved Esther and Bame, who were not convincing last week. At the end Tshepo survived through a song contest, outclassing a highly improved Selapiso with her last week's rendition of Alicia Key's "Falling".
