'Tsabong' is the talk of the town

These days it is not uncommon to hear revellers in Gaborone bragging that they have just been chilling out at "Tsabong".

But do not take it for granted that the fun-hunters had driven some 600km away to Tsabong in the Kgalagadi for a good time. They would be referring to Tsabong, a favourite drinking spot along the Tsolamosese junction on the Gaborone-Kanye road.

Actually, Tsabong is not even the name of this popular drinking place near Mogoditshane. The owner of the bar, Dudu Appiah, said Tsabong is the name of the butchery on the same premises. You see when people are enjoying their jazz and drinks they also want to have something salty, says Appiah.
