The local talent show Pop Star Botswana reached a reverberating end when mellow-voiced crooner Tebogo Tlhagadigora was crowned this year's Pop Star at a glittering ceremony at Ditshupo Hall, Fairgrounds after garnering 12, 473 votes.

Tlhagadigora was pitted against the equally gifted Osi Phuthologo and Caroline Chilufya.
Although Phuthologo had been a favourite to take second position Chilufya pulled a surprise and polled more votes, making her the first runner-up with 9,365 votes, while  Phuthologo only  managed a paltry 1,194.

The event kicked off with welcome remarks from Pop Star Botswana managing director Keabetswe "Master Dee" Sesinyi who told guests about the journey that he had taken to make the show a success. Master Dee thanked everybody who contributed to the growth of the show but surprisingly, he forgot to thank the media for their role.
