The loathsome face of war

Ivan's Childhood (1962) a.k.a My Name is Ivan and is another classic from Russia on the nature of war. It has won 35 gold medals worldwide, including a Golden Lion at Venice in 1962, but when Comrade Khrushchev reviewed the movie he commented:

"We never used children like that in the war." For this reason it was not shown widely in the then Soviet Union.
