It was not the usual big names that cropped up when the finalists were announced after about 5,000 voters from across the country had submitted nominations.

The five winners of the Five Roses women's awards, also known as Thari Ya Sechaba awards, walked away with a total of P70, 000 cash. The categories branded after Five Roses, were five to fit well with the sponsors' brand.  While the overall star, Thari ya Sechaba, walked away with P30, 000 cash, the other four winners pocketed P10, 000 each, while the other five finalists each got P1, 000 for their efforts.
