Stampore down but not out

Renowned Molepolole folk singer Malefo Mokha, who is popularly known as 'Stampore', is still doing his thing. Stampore might be down but he is not out. The beat still goes on for him.

Over the weekend he performed at Satchmo's jazz cafe after a long time without appearing in public. But he was still a hit with the audience.

The 'weather-beaten' Molepolole musician is struggling to make ends meet. He even admits that he is having it tough in his home village. Stampore depends on his box guitar for a living but shows are hard to come by. Being a traditional musician based in a rural area it has been difficult for him to market himself. Besides marketing, entertainment jobs are scarce in the village.
