Stage set for BOMU Awards

Preparations are underway for the second Mascom Botswana Musician Union (BOMU) Awards scheduled for December 9, at the Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC).

Addressing a press conference at the Grand Palm Hotel yesterday, BOMU president Bafana Pheto said the stage was set for the main event.

Pheto told the media that they have also dedicated the whole of this week to the promotion of local content as a way to sensitize the public about the awards. One of the central themes of their programme is the fight against HIV/AIDS, which BOMU is promoting in partnership with South African Radio, Motsweding FM.
