Socca trumpeting his way into BOMU office?

Trumpet maestro Socca Moruakgomo, who wants to contest the Botswana Musicians Union (BOMU) presidency, has come out with guns blazing.

Speaking in an interview, Moruakgomo yesterday slammed the current BOMU leadership for allegedly failing to represent the musicians' interests. He said it was high time musicians were represented by people who had their interests at heart. 

Moruakgomo charged that some members of the current  BOMU executive  are inexperienced in the music industry. "Sometimes it is difficult to be assigned such a position when you can't deal with artistes," the veteran muso said.
