Sluggish TK gets Big Brother house 'TKO'

Zambia's Takondwa Nkonjera, referred to as TK in the house, who many viewers of M-Net's Big Brother Africa 3 reality show termed 'lazy and lacking in character' - was the sixth housemate to be evicted from the house on Sunday.

Viewers were quite decisive in voting to send the overly confident young Zambian home, as he was voted out by 11 countries, while Angola's Ricardo Venancio received only two votes. TK was knocked out by Angola, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Malawi, Ghana, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, with the 11th vote coming from the rest of Africa. Rocco, who has proven to be a resilient competitor, received two votes, being Zambia and Uganda - and it was the first time for him to receive any votes, despite being up for eviction a number of occasions. Some of BBA3 followers are already predicting that the Angolan will walk away with the USD 100, 000 cash prize. TK was stunned when the announcement was made that he was the sixth housemate to leave the house. The Zambian had repeatedly told Big Brother that he was not going anywhere, making assumptions that Africa appreciated his being in the house and wanted to keep him there, but little did he realise that Africa wanted to send him packing a long time ago, citing his 'laziness' and lack of character. Apart from not participating in house chores, TK just felt comfortable posing as a couch potato, and never gave the viewers anything worth talking about, except for his 'staged' romance with Kenya's Sheila Kwamboka, who was evicted a fortnight ago. The young man seemed to be too opinionated when talking to the house's Big Brother, as he often complained about the food they were given, wanting fresh vegetables, not frozen, and asking if South Africa does not have ribs.

His diary sessions were mostly filled with bitterness towards the management of the house, leaving most viewers in no doubt that the Zambian needed to return to his home, where he could enjoy all that he desired. But surprisingly TK told the show presenter Kabelo "KB" Ngakane that he was shocked that Africa had chosen him to leave the house.
