Shirley optimistic about the future

When Shirley Mokoka started with Mokorwana in 2004, she displayed the type of talent and enthusiasm that made many people think she would be riding the crest of success by now.

That has not happened, four years down the line, she is still amongst the 'middle class' artists who are not so talked about, but not completely out either.

In 2006 she released Tsoga maroko featuring Gong Master (Mponang Ketshabile), which was an instant success. The title track was everyone's favorite and suddenly music followers wanted to believe that the lanky musician was more "dangerous" as a solo artist.
