Last Friday, scores of art lovers and connoisseurs gathered at Thapong Visual Arts Centre in Gaborone to witness the opening of the second Thapong Members' Exhibition to be held this year.

According to the coordinator of Thapong, Reginald Bakwena, the quality of works mounted at the exhibition was  better than that of the past members' exhibition that was held in March this year.

"After the last members' exhibition, we sat down with the artists and informed them that they should improve the quality of works they want to showcase so I can say that there has been remarkable improvement," Bakwena said in an interview with Mmegi. He further said that if Batswana artists continue to show passion for their work, they would soon be able to exhibit their pieces internationally.
