SADC Creators/Artists Workshop slated for November

Thapong Visual Arts Centre coordinator, Reginald Bakwena has invited visual artists in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region to participate in the Annual SADC Creators/Artist Workshop slated for November 16-26.

Speaking to Mmegi in an interview yesterday, Bakwena said: "The aim of the workshop is to bring artists and resource persons from the SADC region together. It will cover issues of contemporary art in the region in order to promote cultural visibility, especially in the art sector."

He pointed out that the workshop, to be held at the centre in Gaborone, is in line with Article 15 of Arts and Culture Festivals, which is one of the goals in the SADC Protocol on Culture, Information and Sports.
