SA radio station aims to tell the African story

Motsweding FM station manager Ben Dikobe says as a strategic partner of South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), they are not only focusing on servicing the people of South Africa, but the entire continent as well.

He said this yesterday at a press conference called by Botswana Musician Union (BOMU) to update the public on the run-up to the second Mascom BOMU Awards billed for Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC) on December 9.

"We want to tell the African story, as far as culture is concerned - and we have a firm stand on that," said Dikobe. He said as a station they are aiming at promoting "Setswana language that has been suppressed for a long time".
