Ramco Records group comes up with hot Mmurubele

Eric Ramco Ramogobya the man behind the studio that has produced the phenomenal Machesa and Matsieng traditional groups, says that in naming the group Mmurubele (mulberry), he was looking for a name of a popular tree found in Botswana. He opted for a tree grown in urban homes and not traditional trees like moretlwa to demonstrate that traditional music has to be contemporary, addressing issues of culture from a modern perspective.
